Overview

In response to the growing impacts of climate change on people, livelihoods, and the environment, Nebbi District Local Government commissioned PDCC Limited to conduct a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) covering the period 2023/24–2027/28.

The CRVA provides a climate trend analysis, risk mapping, and vulnerability assessment, offering evidence-based guidance for planning and implementation of adaptation and mitigation strategies at both district and lower local government levels. It also identifies opportunities for Nebbi District to leverage climate finance and benefit from global and national climate initiatives.

This milestone was achieved through the leadership of the District Natural Resources Department with support from UNCDF–LoCAL, and technical input from MoLG, MoWE, and the Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA).
