Consulting Area: Development Management – Agriculture and Livelihood Development
Food security is a key pillar for sustainable livelihoods. PDCC carries out food security studies to understand the availability, accessibility, utilisation, and stability of food within households and communities.
Our work in this area covers:
Assessing levels of food production and consumption in rural and urban settings.
Identifying risks and vulnerabilities that affect household and community food systems.
Measuring nutritional security and linking it to health and development outcomes.
Examining the impact of climate change, gender dynamics, and poverty on food availability.
Recommending interventions to strengthen resilience and reduce hunger.
Through these studies, PDCC equips governments, NGOs, and community organisations with the evidence they need to design programmes that reduce hunger, improve nutrition, and support sustainable livelihoods.
Work with PDCC to design food security studies that strengthen resilience and inform hunger reduction programmes.
