Poverty Studies

Consulting Area: Development Research – Poverty Studies

Understanding the root causes and dynamics of poverty is essential for designing programmes that deliver real change. At PDCC, we carry out poverty studies that provide deep insights into the conditions, challenges, and opportunities faced by vulnerable populations.

Our poverty studies include:

  • Action Research – working closely with communities to co-create solutions that address poverty at the grassroots level.

  • Household income and expenditure analysis – identifying sources of income, spending patterns, and economic vulnerabilities.

  • Livelihood assessments – examining how households and communities make a living, and how they cope with shocks such as climate change, health issues, or market fluctuations.

  • Inequality and exclusion analysis – highlighting the experiences of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalised groups.

  • Policy impact assessment – studying how government or donor programmes affect poverty reduction outcomes.

  • Publications and knowledge sharing – producing reports, case studies, and policy briefs that inform decision-makers and stakeholders.

Through these studies, PDCC helps organisations and governments to design targeted, evidence based interventions that address poverty in a sustainable way.

Work with PDCC to conduct high-quality poverty studies that drive policy and action.
